Welcome to Paige and Darrian's term 4 week 5 blog . Last week we were at Nydia Bay in the Malbrough Sounds! We were the only class to go there on camp.We had loads of fun,learnt alot and did some pretty crazy things. Here are some of our highlights and photos of the week.

Highlight 1: Tuesdays fishing experience was the best fishing experience most of us have had ever!
We went on a chartered boat with Captain Gary for 7 hours (luckily they had toliets on the boat lol). We caught 17 fish, seven different species
, about 500 scallops and two of the biggest star fish ever (which we chucked
back). And boy did we have the best tea! Kate Lovell caught the biggest fish of the day, it was massive.
Highlight 2: Kayaking
On the left is Mr Maybee (Craig) teaching us
how to kayak around the island about 50m out from the jetty. Mani stood up on the overturned kayak and started paddling back to shore! Most people enjoyed the kayaking. Kick Kiwi's saw a massive stingray on their kayaking journey scary!
Reporting from the gas cooking is Darrian. "Jade's burgers were huge. Yum ,who wants some?
Lets look at dessert. Look at the master piece Darrian's group made, yum!".
For the dessert, Seth and Tane with their butterscottch deighlight came 1st equal with Darrian's group:
Darrian,Kodi,Matt,Josh D, and their dessert below ,and first equal as well was Paige,Abbey and Kate with their banana splits.
On Wednesday it was Sanford's birthday. He turned 13 and at night he had two small cakes. That night we slept in tents. Also that night Josh D,Matt,Kodi,Josh W and Darrian played' When Gnomes Attack' and that was really fun.
On Thursday it was Paige's birthday and she turned 13.... teenagers Wow! Also on Thursday some of us got the chance to do knee boarding. Paige fell off first try then Boom! off she went! Then it was Tanya's turn. She made it the whole way!
So thanks to Miss Rodman ,Mr Maybee and all the parents! We could not have made all the awesome things we did possible with out you :)
